What is unique about Strand?
Is it the fact that our customers can get generous portions of authentic Italian cuisine at a very reasonable price? Is it the unique design of our space? Is it that you can dine in, get our food delivered or pick it up curbside on your way home? Is it that we serve lunch and dinner and even do late night? Is it that you can get truly good food and be served in less than ten minutes for lunch? Is it the Chicken Parmesan pizza or the Caramelized Pear salad that you can get for less than $10 for lunch? Is it that you can enjoy exceptional entrees for dinner such as Lobster Mac and Cheese or Tangerine Salmon? Is it that you can enjoy one of best happy hours in town while enjoying everything from a frozen Carmel Latte, to a specialty martini, to a variety of distinctive beers and wines? Our goal was to create a restaurant experience that was not like anything else. We hope you will agree that we have done just that.
The Design
The Strand has a classy, yet comfortable atmosphere that allows for both indoor and patio seating. Our design starts with a custom wall mural featuring imagery of the Galleria in Milan from accomplished Italian photographer Maurizio Marcato. The warm ambience features luxurious chocolate leather booths and contemporary seating. One of the most unique features in our restaurant is our stylish light fixtures that look like illuminated Strands of spaghetti. Add to that a modern full service bar to belly up to and multiple big screen TV’s to watch your favorite sports team. All of this makes for a design that ensures our guests of the best dining and socializing experience possible.
The Cuisine
Who said you can’t have it all? We as consumers want generous portions of good tasting food that is unique, affordable and prepared quickly. And even though consumers are looking for value, they still desire fresh ingredients and nutritious meals that accommodate their busy lifestyles. With this in mind, we set out to create a menu for The Strand that we believe addresses all of the above.
For lunch and dinner we feature specialty pizzas such as proscuitto and fig and chicken parmesan. Or for those who are looking for fresh seasonal salads, we offer a variety of options including our popular caramelized pear salad or our strawberry and fennel salad. We also do hot stuffed sandwiches, chicken and steak entrees, and of course, cooked to order pastas. Several of our signature entrees include Lobster Mac and Cheese, Tangerine Salmon and Orange and Fennel Prawns. Most of our lunch entrees are under $10 and we serve your food in 10 minutes or less. In addition to the traditional semolina pastas, the Strand offers gluten-free pasta options. Desserts are not an afterthought at The Strand. A delicious Tiramisu starts off our list, followed by Cheesecake Bits, Chocolate Molten Cake and of heaping Biscotti Sundae
We are a scratch kitchen – all of our menu items are prepared on site, on a daily basis. Quality is ensured through fresh ingredients and a short shelf life. Quality is also emphasized by our extremely high standards and the superior level of service by our management team and the entire Strand staff. Portions are generous and dramatically presented. It is our hope that The Strand Urban Italian will redefine your expectations of what a full service dining experience should be.
Liquid Concoctions
The new full service bar provides an ideal place to eat, drink, enjoy your favorite sporting event, or people watch. We feature premium spirits, hand-crafted specialty martinis, frozen drinks, draft beers and a wine list featuring popular domestic producers, as well as boutique Italian offerings with an average bottle price of only $35. Try our reverse happy hour starting at 9:00 pm.
Lunch and Dinner
The Strand is perfect for those seeking a quick power lunch, or a reasonably priced dinner before a game or a late night bite after a show. The Strand will be open six days a week for lunch and dinner. We also stay open late on event nights. Our goal is to serve a remarkable product in a classy environment at an affordable price point. It is our hope that The Strand will indulge all your senses, becoming your first choice in downtown Phoenix and with your help, the valley’s newest, most unique destination for Italian dining.
